About the role
The SIU Adjuster plays a critical role in detecting and preventing insurance fraud by investigating suspicious claims. This position involves analyzing claims, gathering evidence, conducting interviews, and collaborating with legal teams or law enforcement to ensure the integrity of the claims process. The role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to uncover fraudulent activity and support resolution of investigations.
Responsibilities
- Examine insurance claims to identify potential fraud or misconduct
- Collect and analyze documents, financial records, and other relevant information
- Conduct interviews with claimants, witnesses, and other involved parties
- Use data analysis techniques to identify trends and patterns indicative of fraud
- Collaborate with legal teams, law enforcement, and other relevant parties to resolve investigations
- Document findings, conclusions, and recommendations in detailed investigation reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field, or equivalent experience
- Prior experience in law enforcement, insurance, or related investigative field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying fraudulent activity
- Meticulous attention to detail for thorough investigations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and interactions
- Driver's license required
