Site Works Coordinator (Electrical)
Preference for this fully remote position is to have someone living on the east coast or Chicagoland area.
About the Role
In this role, you will support the Site Works Commodity Manager (Electrical RCM) by driving a highly competitive bid environment through supplier identification, development, and selection. You will negotiate contract prices and terms to ensure a cost-effective and reliable supply chain for GE Vernova’s site works. Additionally, you will organize and maintain project site files and manage electronic document databases.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Site Works Commodity Manager on commercial bids to align on commodity strategy, ensuring contractor evaluation and selection is completed during the tender stage.
- Support RFQ package creation, review, and distribution to contractors.
- Perform comprehensive review and analysis of electrical/mechanical contractor proposal packages.
- Schedule project-specific weekly/monthly contractor status calls and log detailed meeting minutes.
- Provide detailed project status updates to the Site Works Commodity Manager.
- Collaborate with internal teams to expedite review and validation of RFIs and overall contractor packages.
- Work with GE contract managers to review and refine contractor terms and conditions.
- Support negotiation of contractor proposal pricing, NDAs/MNDAs, master service agreements, and project-specific agreements for civil and electrical scopes.
- Drive KPIs: Deflation, DTP, Quality, Compliance, and OTDS.
- Source and develop certified minority, veteran-owned, women-owned, and small business suppliers to meet customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with GE sourcing policies and procedures.
- Occasional travel for on-site contractor audits.
- Support the contractor onboarding process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a major construction project environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pre-construction and/or construction estimating.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally 10% of the time.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and Canada.

Pay
The pay range for this U.S.-based position is between $82,900.00 and $138,200.00. The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas. Specific pay may be influenced by factors such as candidate experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility includes a discretionary annual bonus.
