Site Technician II
About the role
The Site Tech II is responsible for a variety of grounds maintenance tasks including small projects, mowing, weed eating, seeding, planting, weed control, equipment maintenance, snow, and ice control, asphalt or concrete work, brick or stonework, demolition, grading and/or site cleanup tasks. They also cultivate and care for the landscaping and grounds of Liberty University.
Responsibilities
- Operates lawn mowers and other related equipment.
- Mows, weeds, plants, and trims grounds.
- Performs snow removal activities such as shoveling, salting, etc.
- Performs seasonal lawn care, such as spring and fall clean-up.
- Works independently and exercises good judgment and discretion.
- Supports special events and emergency clean-up.
- Ensures proper and safe use and maintenance of all equipment, tools, and chemicals.
Requirements
- High school degree or GED.
- Minimum of 3+ years of related experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- State Driver’s license and insurable with company’s agent.
- A working knowledge of grounds maintenance and equipment operations.
- Pressure washing, asphalt, concrete, construction, lawn care, landscape and/or hardscape experience is preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions, and work under limited supervision.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with the public and co-workers.
- Ability to lift up to 75+ pounds and perform duties outdoors in typical Virginia climate.
- Must be able to operate and work from various aerial lifts and heights.
- Must have a chemical spray certification.
Qualifications, Credentials, And Competencies

Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary range of $17.31 - $19.23 per hour, along with comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and tuition assistance. The position may also be eligible for additional benefits based on University needs and external market conditions.
