Site Surveyor

About the role

Venture Home Solar is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Site Surveyor to contribute to our mission of providing clean, renewable energy solutions in the rapidly growing solar industry.

Responsibilities

• Travel to installation sites
• Climb up to a 32' ladder from truck to house for each site
• Access attics to take measurements
• Measure all roof facets
• Perform structural inspections
• Test electric panel voltage
• Document all work done at the installation site and transmit to the engineering team

Safety Duties

• Conduct thorough assessments of potential solar installation sites to identify hazards
• Use appropriate PPE during site surveys (hard hats, gloves, safety glasses)
• Successfully pass all company virtual safety training before the start date
• Document identified hazards and recommended safety measures
• Report safety incidents or near-misses promptly and accurately
• Conduct regular equipment safety checks and report any issues

Requirements

• Prior experience in a relevant role
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Comfortable working on roofs and with heights
• Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Great attention to detail
• Valid, clean driver’s license
• Punctual and reliable
• Comfortable working in or around electric panels
• Strong customer service skills
• Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work Saturdays

Schedule

Full-time, 40+ hours per week with overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40 in a week.

Pay

$20–$25 per hour, based on experience.
