Site Supervisor (Behavioral Health – Youth)
Position Overview
DTAC is seeking a Site Supervisor to lead and support our ARRTS program in Williamsport. This is a dual-role position (60% leadership / 40% clinical) focused on managing program operations, leading staff, and providing therapeutic services to at-risk youth. This role is ideal for a strong leader with behavioral health experience who is passionate about building teams, maintaining structure, and delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced, trauma-informed environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support Mental Health Counselors and Mental Health Professionals
- Lead team meetings, manage staff performance, and address team dynamics
- Develop and maintain program structure, routines, and operational consistency
- Manage scheduling, timecards, and staff accountability
- Foster a positive, structured, and mission-driven team environment
- Maintain a reduced caseload of youth clients
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Complete clinical documentation including progress notes, treatment plans, and reports
- Ensure safety and supervision of at-risk youth in the program
- Oversee client admissions/referrals and collaborate with external agencies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case coordination
- Support crisis intervention and behavioral management as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related behavioral health field
- Mets Associate-level Mental Health Counselor requirements
- Includes 1+ year behavioral health experience (internships count)
- Prior leadership experience OR demonstrated leadership ability (formal or informal)
- Strong organizational, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Comfortable working in a high-acuity, youth behavioral health setting
Preferred Background Experience
- Experience in residential treatment, juvenile programs, or group-based care
- Experience supervising staff or leading teams
- Trauma-informed care experience
- Experience handling crisis situations or behavioral escalations
Work Environment
Moderate to high-stress environment
Direct work with at-risk youth exhibiting behavioral challenges
