Site Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Maintain accountability to ensure all eligible babies are screened.
• Perform and document newborn hearing screenings in accordance with clinical protocols and hospital requirements, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Meet screening expectations set by Hearing Screen Manager.
• Inform Hearing Screen Managers immediately of any hospital issues or missed babies.
• Be the primary point of contact with parents and ensure scheduling of all follow-up outpatient appointments.

Qualifications

• Entry Level Healthcare Experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Current CPR Certification
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a manager or combination of training and experience
• Prior experience with newborns and/or in a healthcare setting
• One to two (1-2) years managing multiple sites (preferred)

Skills/Abilities

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Able to manage high stress in a fast-paced environment
• Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required
• Able to lift, carry, push/pull up to 50 lbs.

About the Role

Catawba Valley Medical Center is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Site Supervisor to play a vital role in overseeing the Newborn Hearing Screen program at multiple sites within the region. The Site Supervisor is responsible for the direct delivery of newborn hearing screening services and spends the required time actively performing and documenting hearing screenings. This role serves as the on-site technical lead, ensuring high-quality screening practices, supporting real-time workflow needs, and managing administrative tasks.
