Site Supervisor

About the role

Our Site Supervisors are the onsite project owners of construction and installation phases with a primary goal of safely delivering a successful installation that conforms to design, schedule, and cost. The Site Supervisor must develop and maintain a trusted relationship with clients while also managing suppliers, third parties, and direct reports. The Site Supervisor is the main conduit of communication with KPI leadership, providing frequent updates including daily reports and alerts. The incumbent ensures the site office operates smoothly and efficiently, receiving and directing visitors. Deliver exceptional client service while professionally representing KPI as the primary onsite point of contact.

Responsibilities

• Collaborative and proactive liaison and coordination with customer site representatives.
• Establish and monitor compliance with health and safety practices while delivering the installation that results in zero incidents.
• Oversee the work of sub-contractor site supervisors to ensure work completion meets expectations. Conduct regular updates/meetings (weekly at a minimum) to keep all parties informed and on track.
• Supervise and coordinate the mechanical and electrical installation, ensuring that the installation is in line with the project installation specifications, safety, and drawings.
• Strong commitment to coordination and monitoring of safety in general. Hold regular safety meetings with all site personnel, including sub-contractors.
• Identify problem areas and ensure timely resolution, working with KPI's engineering team.
• Work closely with the project manager to ensure the project is delivering a quality solution as scoped and scheduled within budget.
• Supervise associates assigned to the project (4-6 team members) and sub-contractors.
• Ensure all KPI and sub-contractors on client site adhere to KPI and customer's safety and conduct rules.
• May need to work after hours and/or on weekends to respond to client or project needs from time to time.
• Work may require lifting and delivering packages, boxes, and supplies on an intermittent basis, weighing up to 45 lbs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Trade School training in mechanical trade such as Millwright a plus.
• Preferably 5-8 years of supervisory experience in material handling, robotics, manufacturing, or packaging background, preferably in high automation environments.
• Excellent organizational skills with emphasis on effective oral and written communication (business writing and proofreading skills required).
• Strong proficiency in MS Outlook/software tools, HRIS tools, and employee databases.
• Working knowledge of mail processes such as postage machines, FedEx, and UPS.
• Must possess the ability to work effectively as an individual and part of a collaborative team while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Must maintain sensitive information as confidential.
• Strong customer communication and interpersonal skills.
• Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to travel 80% of the time (typically a 10 day-on/4 day-off rotation with a goal to return home every other weekend).

Schedule

Ability to travel 80% of the time (typically a 10 day-on/4 day-off rotation with a goal to return home every other weekend).
