Site Supervisor
Scope of Role
As a Site Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day operations at site level across specifically assigned activities and/or work streams, managing the efficient and economic use of resources, materials, transport, plant and equipment to its best potential.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Supervising site operations and deploying resources effectively across assigned work streams
- Ensuring plant, equipment and materials are available and delivered to site on time
- Managing contract administration in line with the company IMS and Contract Terms & Conditions
- Obtaining and managing Permits to Work, conducting site walkthroughs and SLAM checks
- Ensuring utility drawings are current, CAT & Genny surveys are completed, and services are clearly marked
- Overseeing site setup, traffic management, and compliance with Local Authority Permit Conditions
- Recording works using the Trimble system and completing R1 submissions and close-out documentation
- Liaising with Estimators and Surveyors to provide operational and technical support
- Monitoring and enforcing PPE compliance and safe digging practices (HSG47)
- Ensuring all SHEQ documentation — including RAMs, risk assessments and inspections — is completed to a high standard
- Delivering and verifying site-specific inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Reporting all incidents, close calls and near misses in line with company procedures
- Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, waste management and the SWUK Protocol
WHAT IT TAKES
- Strong civils background with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory position
- NRSWA accreditation and Supervisors' accreditation
- CSCS and/or EUSR Card at the appropriate level of responsibility
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)
- Techically competent in NRSWA works and safe digging practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective leader with good organisational skills and the ability to adapt and problem-solve
- Self-motivated, positive, and able to work as part of a team
