About the Role

The Site Supervisor is responsible for the daily supervision of hourly Food Safety Sanitors and Lead Persons in designated departments and areas of our customer’s plants. This role ensures our team works safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory agency, customer, and company policies and procedures.

The primary duty involves customary and regular direction of the work of sanitors. While the Site Supervisor may occasionally assist with manual labor during peak times (e.g., start-up and pre-op), their main focus is supervision, not manual tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage sanitors for specific areas and departments at customer facilities.
  • Apportion work assignments among sanitation lead persons and sanitors.
  • Ensure sanitors work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with governmental, customer, and company policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate sanitors for promotions or other changes in status.
  • Ensure compliance with internal company procedures and policies, including Technical Services, Human Resources, Accounting, IT, and customer service.
  • Enforce procedures outlined in the Team Member Handbook, Safety Handbook, and Cleaning Procedures.
  • Assist the Site Manager and Assistant Site Manager in implementing training programs, including safety training and ERP.
  • Report and investigate all accidents.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 6 or more months of sanitation experience.
  • Leadership and decision-making skills.
  • General working knowledge of computers and technology, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to read, write, add, and subtract.
  • Ability to work in environments with extreme temperature fluctuations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Work Environment

This position involves working in wet, hot, and/or cold environments while wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Shift schedules may vary depending on location.
