Site Selection Manager
About the role
The Development Team is seeking a Site Procurement Manager to lead the strategic sourcing and evaluation of powered land for large-scale data center development. This role requires a deep understanding of land viability for data center projects, rigorous assessment of power, buildability, and permitting, and strong stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate powered land for large-scale development, negotiating leases with data center operators.
- Evaluate utility and behind-the-meter power at 200MW+ scale, and assess buildability through title docs, surveys, geotechnical reports, and environmental studies.
- Understand permitting requirements at each site and their implications for the construction schedule.
- Maintain relationships with brokers, landowners, and developers to ensure a valid site is never missed, and conduct vendor due diligence including on-site audits with specialist engineers.
- Partner with DC Design to keep sites matched to the latest technical requirements, and own capacity planning and forecasting across clients and regions.
- Work directly with Finance on multi-year infrastructure investment and cost structures, and lead commercial negotiations with landowners and developers.
Requirements
You have worked in real estate with a focus on data centers or other large industrial projects, and you have closed large, complex deals. You assess land viability for data center development fast and rigorously: power, buildability, and permitting. You bring a customer-centric mindset, strong ownership, and proactive problem-solving. You align stakeholders across diverse internal and external teams, and you travel 20%+ as projects require.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate or similar project management roles.
- Experience with data center development and land acquisition.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven track record of successful land deals and partnerships.

Benefits
Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity), including a base salary range of $175,000 - $235,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. Additional benefits include:
