About the Opportunity

The Site Selection and Real Estate Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Site Selection & Planning team by managing real estate data, coordinating landowner communications, and overseeing diligence and title-related activities. This position ensures accurate, audit-ready records and smooth workflows across a diverse project portfolio, contributing to efficient project progression and successful infrastructure development.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready real estate records including parcel lists, landowner contacts, agreements, key dates, and project constraints.
  • Develop and manage tracking tools, databases, and reports for portfolio-wide visibility into land, title, curative, and permitting status.
  • Prepare recurring status reports on critical tasks, deadlines, and issues for the team.
  • Manage agreement workflows from drafting through execution, including document routing, notarization, recording, and distribution.
  • Identify and escalate risks with actionable recommendations.
  • Serve as primary contact for landowner administrative and coordination matters.
  • Coordinate agreement review and signature processes among land agents, counsel, and counterparties.
  • Support payment and notice processes in coordination with Finance and Legal.
  • Maintain communication logs and assist with outreach and public meeting logistics.
  • Coordinate advance notice to landowners regarding surveys according to agreements.
  • Handle counterparty communications professionally, escalating sensitive matters appropriately.
  • Order and track title commitments and maintain clear visibility into title and curative workstreams.

Requirements

  • Experience in real estate data management and landowner relations.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain detailed records and manage workflows.
  • Ability to coordinate among multiple stakeholders including land agents, legal counsel, and finance teams.
  • Effective communication skills for professional landowner and counterparty engagement.
  • Capacity to identify risks and recommend solutions proactively.
  • Familiarity with title commitments and curative processes.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $150,000, applicable for jobs performed in New York. This range may be adjusted in the future and final pay may vary based on candidate qualifications.
