Responsibilities

- Serve as on-site Safety Officer
- Monitor and inspect the job site for health and safety compliance
- Implement safety and health policies
- Provide training and information to employees
- Establish and manage a safety culture
- Mentor new team members
- Review and evaluate contractor safety programs
- Maintain safety records
- Develop and implement project-specific safety plans and emergency response plans
- Resolve complaints and grievances
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational or environmental health and safety (or similar), or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5-10 years of related construction safety experience or training
- Leadership skills to cultivate a cohesive team
- Industrial construction experience
- Ability to identify and correct potential exposures
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft applications
