Site Safety & Health Officer

About the role

EnviroVantage, Inc., established in 1985, is seeking to expand its team of professionals who are dedicated to environmental remediation and demolition projects nationwide and in the Caribbean.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety meetings and conduct routine safety/health inspections and report back weekly to the office
• Conduct refresher training as needed; including but not limited to tools, lifts, confined space, etc.
• Perform safety and occupational health management program, safety surveillance, safety inspections, and safety enforcement
• Cook up any corrective actions with EnviroVantage Site Superintendent

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of continuous construction industry safety experience in supervising/managing general construction
• Knowledge and experience working with asbestos, excavation, and demolition required
• Managing safety program or processes conducting hazard analysis and developing controls
• OSHA 30 and HAZWOPER 40 required
• Previous experience working as a safety representative on a construction site
• Strong working knowledge and experience with OSHA:1926.1101;1926.62 and others
• Strong working knowledge of EM385-1-1
• CPR and First Aid certifications

Physical Demands

• Must be able to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, walking, carrying, and using a force equal to lifting 50 to 100 pounds
• Qualified Candidate must be able to pass a physical examination by medical professional for the anticipated work requirements
• Must be able to pass a background check and be able to obtain access to military bases across the United States
• A valid driver’s license is required, as well as a safe driving record as measured by company policy

Total Rewards

• Compensation Range: $100,000 - $140,000/year
• Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision coverage starting on the first day of the month following date of hire.

• Paid Time Off & Holidays: 80 hours per year, 56 hours per year sick time, 8 company-paid holidays per year
