Site Safety Engineer
Responsibilities
- Enforce the use of safety equipment/clothing as required by OSHA and company safety regulations.
- Ensure that team members on the project site are in compliance with the safety requirements of the company.
- Ensure that appropriate safety records are maintained.
- Ensure that work areas are maintained in a neat, safe and orderly fashion.
- Investigate cause of an incident and complete reports as required.
- Aid Site Manager in administrative counseling to team members and subcontractors who are in non-compliance with safety requirements.
- Hold safety meetings/jobsite reviews as part of coordination meetings.
- Conduct daily safety meetings.
- Conduct orientation and jobsite-specific training.
- Communicate, implement, and enforce Gray’s safety program on site.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR 5+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- OSHA 30 Hour card.
- Experience in an industrial construction environment is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques.
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite programs.
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
- An energetic, self-motivated individual who has a passion for collaboration and professional development.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, talking, and hearing.
- Regular climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 100 lbs.

- Indirectly manages subcontractor safety personnel.
