Site Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Walks the jobsite routinely and watches for unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviors, PPE issues, housekeeping concerns, and access hazards
• Reminds employees, contractors, and visitors of required PPE and basic site safety expectations
• Addresses straightforward issues promptly and professionally, and escalates serious, repeated, or uncertain concerns to project leadership
• Maintains a visible, approachable safety presence and encourages workers to raise concerns
• Affords assistance with site orientations, pre-task meetings, toolbox talks, and safety reminders
• Reports injuries, incidents, near misses, and hazardous conditions immediately
• Supports first aid or medical assistance when needed and within the limits of training
• Supports other basic site-safety activities as assigned

Requirements

• Has current OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification (preferred)
• Holds a high school diploma or equivalent
• Has some previous experience on a construction or industrial jobsite, in safety support, or in a medical, clinical, or occupational health setting
• Displays strong observation and communication skills, with the confidence to address basic concerns respectfully
• Is dependable, able to follow direction, and comfortable working independently while recognizing when to involve project leadership
• Has First Aid or CPR certification (helpful but not required)
