Job Description
Reports to: Sr. Manager, Anti-Cheat Engineering
Join us at Electronic Arts, where we inspire the world to play and connect millions of players through innovative, high-quality games. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer on our Security Platform Engineering & Anti-Cheat Response (SPEAR) team, you will help build and operate the systems that protect EA's games and players. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Anti-Cheat Engineering and work with us to ensure fair and safe gameplay across our global ecosystem. Together, we promote creativity, learning, and community while shaping the future of game security.
- You will architect, develop, test, deploy, and maintain highly available anti-cheat and security platforms supporting millions of players worldwide.
- You will implement monitoring and alerting to verify system functionality, performance, and costing, using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenSearch.
- You will lead incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortems for real-time detection and enforcement systems, sharing on-call responsibilities with our engineering team.
- You will build automation to reduce operational toil, improve system resilience, and create operational documentation including runbooks and playbooks.
Qualifications
- 6+ years in SRE, DevOps, Infrastructure, or Security Engineering, operating production systems at scale.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and hands-on experience with both Linux and Windows environments.
- Deep experience with Kubernetes, AWS cloud infrastructure, and Terraform-based deployments for distributed systems.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Compensation and Benefits
- PAY RANGES
- * British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria): $114,300 - $156,200 CAD
- * Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane): $122,300 - $158,500 USD
