Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) plays a crucial role in ensuring the resilience and efficiency of systems at Booz Allen. They are responsible for designing and implementing robust infrastructure, managing redundant systems, and automating routine tasks to minimize downtime and enhance system stability.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain highly reliable and scalable systems to reduce issues and downtime
• Provide technical support for system upgrades, rollouts, and enhancements
• Develop and deploy infrastructure solutions
• Employ and sustain VMware for v6.x and later, including the design and implementation of virtual data centers
• Design and deploy highly available storage solutions for technologies, including SAN storage and high-capacity storage solutions
• Work with clients and lead, train, and mentor junior system administrators
• Transform large-scale software, data center, or on-premises infrastructure programs to a virtualized architecture

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience creating and maintaining highly reliable and scalable systems
• 3+ years of experience developing and deploying infrastructure solutions
• 3+ years of experience employing and sustaining VMware for v6.x and later
• 3+ years of experience designing and deploying highly available storage solutions
• Experience with data center design and buildout
• Ability to interact with clients and lead, train, and mentor junior system administrators

Pay

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $86,800 to $198,000.

Schedule

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
