Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for Quality, Food Safety, and Product Safety programs at the Carrollton manufacturing site
- Lead Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), analytical laboratory, and sensory laboratory operations to ensure consistent product quality
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and certification requirements across all site activities
- Oversee daily QC workflows, prioritize activities, maintain procedures, and align quality practices with other manufacturing sites
- Parenthesize closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Warehouse, and cross-functional teams to support business continuity and customer satisfaction
- Lead and support internal, customer, regulatory, and certification audits, ensuring timely closure of non-conformances
- Monitor, analyze, and report quality key performance indicators (KPIs) for raw materials, finished goods, and laboratory performance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, innovation support, and quality risk-reduction efforts across the site
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field
- 10+ years of experience in quality, regulatory, or food safety roles within a manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of proven leadership success
- Strong working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), food safety systems, and quality management systems
- Demonstrated expertise with Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards (e.g., BRC, NSF, FSSC 22000, AIB), ISO 9001, and ISO 17025
- Experience leading factory-based quality organizations, including laboratory operations
- Proficiency with analytical laboratory instrumentation and sensory evaluation methods
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications
Qualifications
Experience in flavor manufacturing or food additive production
Background in Six Sigma, statistical analysis, or advanced quality improvement methodologies
Strong coaching mindset with the ability to develop technical talent and foster collaboration
