Site Project Manager / Engineer
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead capital investments at our Pasadena manufacturing site—supporting initiatives that are central to our operational excellence and long-term growth. This role offers the opportunity to own and deliver high-impact capital projects in a complex chemical manufacturing environment, working alongside a collaborative team of engineering, operations, and site leadership.
Responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you will serve as the single point of accountability for delivering capital projects from concept through commissioning. You will play a critical role in ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with business objectives—while influencing cross-functional stakeholders and driving disciplined project performance.
- Lead capital projects of varying size and complexity from concept development through commissioning
- Deliver projects that meet or exceed safety, cost, schedule, and quality objectives
- Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in partnership with engineering, operations, and site leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including cost estimates, schedules, and resource requirements
- Drive project performance, including cost forecasting, schedule management, and risk mitigation
- Serve as the primary project leader, aligning cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders to drive decisions
- Oversee engineering design, technical deliverables, and vendor performance to ensure quality execution
- Manage contractors and coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities
- Lead bid package development, contractor selection, and contracting strategies
- Manage scope changes through structured change management processes
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company project controls
- Champion constructability, value improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
Required Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or related field and experience leading capital projects in manufacturing, industrial, or plant environments.

- Strong understanding of project controls, including cost forecasting and schedule management
- Experience with risk management processes (e.g., risk registers, HAZOP/PHA integration)
- Working knowledge of process safety management (PSM), MOC, and regulatory requirements
Preferred Qualifications include experience in chemical, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments, background in front-end loading (FEL) and stage-gate project development, and familiarity with SAP Project Systems (PS) or similar project management tools.
