Site Project Leader

About the role
The Site Project Leader scopes and drives projects needed for the Site Master Plan to support the M&S Sanofi network strategy. The number of projects varies with scope size and end-to-end extent. Responsibilities include managing stakeholders at receiving or sending sites or global functions, ensuring proper governance, and leading or coordinating project execution on sites. This role ensures compliance with site rules and task completion, playing a major part in delivering New Product Launches and performance improvements to meet patient needs and supply targets.

Responsibilities
- Project Strategy, Scoping, and Governance
- Develops project objectives, scopes, and strategy with the sponsor.
- Accountable for project planning, including timelines, costs, scope, and risks.
- Presents projects in PPM governance committees for review and decision-making.
- Project Monitoring and Execution
- Leads and monitors project execution with an end-to-end mindset.
- Manages project controls: deliverables, expenditures, reporting, follow-ups, and risk management.
- Ensures achievement of project objectives: design fundamentals, costs, deadlines, quality, HSE, and industrial performance.
- Acts as an interface with site functions, external operational contacts, and related projects.
- Project Reporting and Stakeholder Management
- Conducts project communications and manages site and global stakeholders.
- Updates project progress in tools (including Shine), ensuring compliance with financial rules and good management practices.
- Performs regular activity reporting to clients and the Project Portfolio Management team.
- PPM and Continuous Improvement
- Fosters sharing and application of best practices and digital solutions.
- Contributes to improving tools and methods for monitoring portfolio execution on site.
Dimensions
- MBC consists of buildings in Framingham and Northborough, with over 700 FTEs and a value add exceeding $200M.
- Supports Zymes Rare Disease activity, representing over $3B in sales.
- Site Project Portfolio is approximately $80M in SPE.
- Site is launching Nexviazyme for Pompe disease, expected to be a blockbuster.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in project management, capital project management, technical product transfer, engineering, manufacturing operations, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience in significant project execution, keeping schedule and cost under control.
- Experience and agility in digital tools supporting project execution and monitoring.
Preferred Qualifications
- Scientific bachelor’s degree, preferably in chemical, biochemical, or pharmaceutical engineering, or a business/finance degree.

- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in building and leading cross-functional teams.
- Ability to speak up and escalate early warning signs at the appropriate level.
- Business acumen and execution skills.
- Financial acumen and understanding of industrial strategy to build project strategy and business cases.
- Capacity to assess and challenge workload and functional support needs.
- Able to persistently track and confirm task execution.
- Good knowledge of pharmaceutical industry constraints and regulations (GxP, FDA, etc.).
