Site/Plant Controller
KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting is partnering with a growing manufacturing company in the Manchester, NH area to fill a key leadership role as Controller. This position supports a $40-50 million manufacturing operation and serves as the primary Finance leader at the site, working closely with the Plant Director and Operations leadership to drive financial performance, reporting, and analysis.

The ideal candidate will have strong cost accounting and inventory experience, an understanding of plant operations, and the ability to present financial results and recommendations to executive leadership.
Responsibilities
- Own the financial performance of the manufacturing site, including P&L reporting, analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Prepare and present financial statements, KPIs, and performance metrics to site and executive leadership.
- Lead the monthly close process while identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies, and automation.
- Partner closely with Plant and Operations leadership on spending, labor, overhead, inventory, and cost improvement opportunities.
- Manage inventory analytics and periodically review labor and overhead rates to ensure accurate inventory valuation and support quoting activities.
- Develop budgets, monthly forecasts, weekly flash reporting, and other financial reporting as needed.
- Partner with Operations on capital planning, resource allocation, S&OP, and initiatives designed to improve profitability and ROI.
- Provide customer and product-level profitability analysis and financial support for commercial opportunities.
- Support working capital and cash-flow improvement initiatives.
- Maintain effective internal controls and support external audit activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including at least 3 years within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong manufacturing cost accounting and inventory experience.
- Experience working closely with plant and operations leadership and understanding the financial impact of manufacturing decisions.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to present financial information to executive leadership.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with mid-level to larger ERP systems.
Pay
$135-165k plus 15% bonus.
