Site Manager (Freelance)

About the role

We are seeking a hands-on Site Manager to oversee all technical, logistical, and site-related aspects of our outdoor forest walking trail event. Reporting directly to the Production Manager and Event Manager, you will act as the main point of contact for site operations, support all departments during load-in and load-out, and ensure the venue is event-ready in collaboration with the Production and Technical Teams. You will also be responsible for managing incidents, unplanned works, and following procedures set by the Production Manager and Management Team.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Production Manager and vendors to ensure the site is prepared each day for required work to proceed.
• Ensure all staff and team members have the equipment and supplies needed to accomplish their tasks.
• Coordinate with vendors and external teams regarding equipment rentals and returns, purchasing, scheduling, and local labor allocations.
• Coordinate all deliveries onsite and ensure distribution around the work site.
• Conduct daily health and safety meetings, follow all safety procedures and guidelines, and confirm all staff are appropriately certified and trained.
• Implement the Emergency Action Plan and ensure it is updated to reflect local laws or regulations.
• Assist with site control during adverse weather conditions, ensuring all wind management and safety plans are adhered to.
• Oversee crew welfare, ensuring shift patterns run smoothly and breaks are implemented.
• Ensure the work site is cleaned at the end of each day to maintain an orderly work environment.
• Complete any other reasonably requested related tasks as may be provided by Fever.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Google Drive and the Google suite of applications including Sheets, Word, and Google Meetings.
• Previous experience managing large outdoor festivals, illumination trails, or outdoor experiential events.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a related industry.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors for a standard 10-hour workday.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
• Strong leadership, effective communication, and team-oriented skills.
• Comfortable working in a constantly changing environment.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Current First-Aid certification is a plus.
• Must be able to work in the event country and meet one of the following criteria:
  • Already a citizen or resident in the country and permitted to work.
  • Already in possession of a work visa/permit.

$400/day – Standard 8 or 10 hour day (8 am–5 pm or 8 am–7 pm)
