About the role
In this role, you’ll manage a 5-15k sq ft distribution center and the local warehouse operating team, ensuring we maintain high quality for our customers.
- Lead: Recruit, lead, coach, and retain a high-performing team of Shift Leads (3+) and Operations Associates (6+). Set your team up for success to work safely and productively. Build a strong, positive culture and drive strong employee satisfaction scores. Partner with your Shift Leads to effectively delegate daily tasks and ensure high performance.
- Own: Oversee day-to-day operations of a DashMart warehouse, including preparing food in a light-prep kitchen at some locations. Ensure site processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Manage scheduling and a labor budget while meeting site-level metric goals.
- Delight customers: Lead your team in providing the best possible experience on every order. Maintain key quality metrics like order accuracy and fulfillment speed. Work cross-functionally with central teams (inventory, training) to equip your team with the tools and resources needed to succeed.
- Strategize: Use data to identify pain-points or inefficiencies in warehouse processes. Design, build, and execute process improvement projects to enhance operations, quality metrics, and employee experience.
Requirements
- 3+ years of team leadership experience in high-volume operations (retail, grocery, hospitality, fulfillment, logistics, or similar) with a track record of developing people and delivering results.
- Managed high-performance teams of 10+ employees.
- Act like an owner: Support a 24/7 business across multiple shifts and take ownership of a rapidly growing operation.
- Solve problems from first principles: Innovate and resist "this is how it’s always been done" thinking.
- Thrive in ambiguity: Excited by rapid change and learning in startup environments.
- Analytical mindset: Use data to drive decisions, with experience in Excel/Google Sheets (basic formulas, pivot tables).
- College degree or relevant professional work experience.
- Flexible schedule: Ability to support late-night and weekend availability as the site leader.
Pay
The national base pay range for this position within the United States (including Illinois and Colorado) is $64,800—$95,300 USD. Starting pay is determined based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized to the employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future. In addition to base salary, this role includes opportunities for equity grants.

Paid Time Off Details:
- For salaried roles: Flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
- For hourly roles: Vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g., ~6.7 hours/month for 40 hours/week; ~3.4 hours/month for 20 hours/week). Paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g., ~5.8 hours/month for 40 hours/week; ~2.9 hours/month for 20 hours/week).
