Site Installation Lead
Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Site Installation Lead in USA Fontana, Ca. Report to the Construction & Logistics Manager, the Site Installation Lead, is for leading a team of employees in completing assigned tasks for site installation projects. This role will serve as the primary job-site representative for Crown Technical Systems. This position will require 90% of overnight travel across the United States via company vehicle and/or airplane. Must have valid identification for air travel in accordance with TSA regulations.
What a Typical Day Looks Like
- Train and develop onsite team members.
- Oversee the daily workflow and assignments of the employees assigned to the jobsite.
- Send end-of-day reports to Construction Manager and Project Teams.
- Communicate any technical issues to Construction Manager.
- Responsible for reinstallation of equipment on assigned jobsites;
- Serves as the primary jobsite representative and Safety representative for Crown Technical Systems.
- Communicate with team members to discuss and assign upcoming daily work assignments onsite.
- Maintain knowledge of processes and equipment used according to company policies and procedures.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise on the jobsite; communicate and partner with Construction Manager and/or Engineers for guidance on complex issues and redline all drawing changes that are needed.
- Responsible for reviewing and verifying the quality of work done onsite to ensure it meets the as-built drawings.
- Partner with the Construction Manager to track progress or changes to jobsite schedules and communicate information to team members as needed.
- Aid in electrical and assembly installations as needed.
- Ensure that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Sending end-of-day reports, reporting/documenting any quality concerns, drawing issues, and missing/damaged material.
Job Readiness
- Ensuring that all materials, drawings, and other documentation are available for job-site installations (ex. Sourcing missing/needed materials locally, completing safety and pre-start work documentation, including JHAs, tailgate meetings, etc.)
- Responsible for the organization and cleanliness of Company Vehicles.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
The Experience We’re Looking to Add to Our Team
- A high school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
- Prior experience in effectively leading a team of employees.
- 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or related field.
- OSHA 30 Construction Certification is required; if candidate does not have current OSHA 30 Construction Certification, they must obtain within the first 30 days of employment.
- Current Driver's License and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report to operate company vehicles.
- A thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn assembly and wiring operations.
- Excellent supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written/computer communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving/critical thinking skills.
- Able to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Excellent understanding of tools (ex. Tape measures, impact drill, fall protection, etc.) and math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs.
- Excellent knowledge of OSHA Safety Requirements.
- Knowledge on handling, connecting, and safety requirements for installing 125VDC battery Systems.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time; team lift up to 75 pounds.
- Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed.
- Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
- Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, fire rated clothing, and ear protection, while working on the production floor and at job sites.
