Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your financial management and controlling expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic and collaborative teammates.

You'll play a critical role in organizing, managing, and coordinating the financial activities of the Plattsburgh site, ensuring accurate, transparent information and enabling site performance. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (site management, site functions, and finance teams), guide and interpret data/figures, monitor financial indicators, and much more.

  • Providing accurate and transparent financial information to support and enable site performance.
  • Assisting the Site Managing Director in all financial matters.
  • Interpreting data and figures to provide actionable insights.
  • Acting as the interface between site functions to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Monitoring and forecasting the financial indicators of the site.
  • Setting targets and creating a controlled environment for cost management to maximize performance.
  • Validating financial flows and final reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Challenging and analyzing risks or variances to provide insightful recommendations.
  • Developing action plans to optimize performance and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Cooking and consolidating financial data to produce accurate actuals, budgets, and forecasts, while ensuring compliance with Alstom’s reporting guidelines.

All about you

  • Degree in Finance or a related field (Bachelor’s required; Master’s preferred).
  • Experience or understanding of financial management, controlling, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization.
  • Familiarity with internal controls and compliance standards.
  • Leadership ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Ability to work in an international environment and adapt to diverse teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, dependability, and results orientation.
