About The Role
As a Site Implanted Technical Service team member, you will work directly at customer mine sites on rostered assignments, supporting the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimisation of FLS equipment. You will gain valuable onsite experience while working alongside experienced technical specialists and sales teams, developing both your technical capability and customer relationship skills. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, solving problems in the field, and building strong relationships with customers in a fast-paced mining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite technical support during assigned customer rosters
- Assist with installation, commissioning, calibration, maintenance, repairs, and testing of mining equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment and operational issues to improve reliability and performance
- Support customers with technical guidance and equipment training
- Conduct site inspections and identify opportunities for maintenance improvements and equipment upgrades
- Work closely with technical and sales teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
- Help drive equipment uptime and operational efficiency
- Build strong working relationships with customers to support long-term partnerships
- Promote a strong culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement onsite
What You Bring
- Trade qualification, vocational/technical education, Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business/Marketing related discipline
- Hands-on mechanical or technical aptitude with an interest in mining equipment and technology
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently in remote site environments and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer engagement skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to build a career with FLSmidth
- Willingness to work on customer rosters and travel to remote mining sites as required
