This is a hands-on site HR leadership role with explicit ownership across the full HR agenda: Industrial Relations, Change Management, Recruitment, Learning & Development, Reward, Recognition, HRIS, and HR Operations, including acting as “first chair” in day-to-day labor relations and union engagement.

  • Take ownership of the relationship with the union, including leading collective bargaining, grievance handling, and day-to-day labor relations.
  • Move the union relationship from its current state to one that supports a reliable, productive plant.
  • Work alongside operations leadership to raise plant reliability through manning levels, shift patterns, attendance, skills, and working practices.
  • Build leadership accountability across the site management team and set a clear standard for how performance is managed.
  • Reinforce the INEOS approach to safety, health, and the environment in everything the site does.
  • Drive workforce productivity and remove practices that hold back output.

  • Understanding of running people processes inside a continuous production plant where output, safety, and cost all sit on the same balance.
  • Experience with the rhythm of shift work, plant turnarounds, and the pressure of production environments.
  • US labor relations experience in a unionized setting, including leading collective bargaining, handling grievances, and managing day-to-day relationships with workforce representatives.
  • Track record of improving difficult industrial relations and moving them onto a more productive footing.
  • Entrepreneurial, fast-moving leadership style with strong communication skills, accountability, and delegation ability.
  • Hands-on approach, operating close to the plant and its people.
  • Proven judgment, understanding of business needs, and readiness to lead, decide, and act.
  • University degree in a relevant subject; additional professional qualifications in human resources management will be helpful.

Schedule

This is a salaried, exempt position with typical work hours of 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Benefits
