Site Foreperson

About the role

Pottstown Division of H&K Group, Inc. is seeking a Site Foreperson to oversee construction projects such as highways, pipelines, and other infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and job-related documents
• Record daily events in job diaries
• Schedule materials, equipment, and work for the crew
• Analyze crew SIPS to create site SIPS
• Obtain quantities from crews and prepare for billing processes with Project Managers
• Analyze cost reports for production adjustments
• Accurately code onsite costs and control them
• Conduct site meetings
• Attend Environmental, Safety, and Site meetings and Job Turnover meetings
• Communicate goals and purposes effectively
• Lead and demonstrate by example
• Influence and enforce company values
• Recognize misalignments with company values and culture and ensure compliance
• Understand and anticipate customer needs
• Understand business practices within the organization
• Understand the importance of repeat business
• Communicate with customer representatives and represent the Company professionally
• Manage and lead a team of construction workers
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders
• Document work progress and maintain accurate records

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or equivalent work experience
• One year of related experience or equivalent
• OSHA or other relevant safety certifications preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Mathematical skills including probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, and trigonometry
• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Basic computer skills including Internet, email, and digital camera use for work documentation
• Driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to fit test and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Physical ability to meet job requirements (standing, walking, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds)

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience or equivalent
• Supervisory experience preferred
