Site Finance Manager
About the Position
Selig seeks a strategic finance manager for its Illinois manufacturing site. This role serves as a strategic financial partner to site-level operations leaders, providing critical insight, analysis, and recommendations necessary to drive performance, improve efficiency, and support strategic initiatives. This role focuses on cost accounting, production variance analysis, strategic and capital projects, and support for site leadership decision-making. The successful candidate will be able to thrive in a customer centric, fast-paced, collaborative and team-oriented culture. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who can contribute to the success of the Forrest site while maintaining strong communication and coordination with Selig's global team.
Location and Relationships
- Based in Selig's Schaumburg, Illinois office with 20-40% travel to Forrest, Illinois manufacturing operation
- Direct Reporting Line: VP, Global Controller
- Indirect Dotted Line: Director of Operations, Forrest (Site Leader)
- One direct report (located in Forrest)
Responsibilities
- Participate as a member of the site leadership team, including regular review of site performance, variances and corrective actions
- Supervise and support cost accounting activities, including standard costs development and variance analysis, inventory analysis, scrap analysis, and fixed asset reporting
- Lead site-level budgeting and forecasting, including the standard cost development and departmental expense budgets
- Lead analysis of site operating performance through weekly and monthly reviews of variances, production statistics, cost, inventory and other key performance indicators
- Lead and support capital projects, including financial analysis in support of the project, approval requests and tracking of project costs and performance
- Support, develop and refine best practices in connection with a global ERP implementation
- Support year-end audit activities related to areas above, including coordinating physical inventory with operations, reviewing controls, and supporting year end requests
- Ensure compliance with tariff regulations on international shipments
- Support insurance and risk management activities
- Perform other duties, including ad-hoc special projects and financial analysis, as required

Experience and Education
- 3+ years of relevant finance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with US GAAP and cost accounting required
- Target company or division size: 50-200+ employees and $100M+ revenues preferred
- Experience supporting a growing manufacturing operation within a global business preferred
- Relevant accounting designation preferred – CPA, CMA or equivalent experience
- Prior experience with systems implementations preferred
- Prior experience with SAP a plus
- Degree in Accounting preferred
