Job Summary
The Construction Site Experience Strategist is responsible for leading and driving initiatives that enhance the employee experience across Black & Veatch construction job sites. This individual contributor role focuses on strengthening culture, morale, engagement, and communications for craft professionals and field-based teams while supporting the significant growth of the construction organization.
Key Responsibilities

Leads the development and execution of a construction site employee experience strategy that supports workforce growth, engagement, morale, and retention.

PARTNERS WITH CONSTRUCTION LEADERSHIP TO REINFORCE A CONSISTENT, POSITIVE CULTURE ACROSS JOB SITES WHILE RECOGNIZING PROJECT-SPECIFIC NEEDS AND DYNAMICS.

CHAMPIONS INITIATIVES THAT ENHANCE THE DAY-TODAY EXPERIENCE OF CRAFT PROFESSIONALS AND FIELD-BASED TEAMS, INCLUDING ONBOARDING, ENGAGEMENT, RECOGNITION, AND COMMUNICATIONS.

SERVES AS AN ADVOCATE FOR CONSTRUCTION EMPLOYEES BY GATHERING FEEDBACK, IDENTIFYING IMPROVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES, AND CHAMPIONING ENHANCEMENTS TO THE EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE.

ALIGNS CONSTRUCTION EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE INITIATIVES WITH CULTURE, VALUES, RECRUITING, ONBOARDING, AND WORKFORCE PLANNING EFFORTS DURING PERIODS OF SIGNIFICANT ORGANIZATIONAL GROWTH.

LEADS STANDARDIZED ENGAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATION APPROACHES TAILORED TO CONSTRUCTION JOB SITES TO ENSURE MESSAGING IS RELEVANT, ACCESSIBLE, AND TIMELY.

PARTNERS WITH MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS TO DEVELOP JOB-SITE-APPROPRIATE TOOLS AND CAMPAIGNS THAT REINFORCE CULTURE, SAFETY, AND COMPANY PRIORITIES.

MANAGES AND DRIVES CROSS-FUNCTIONAL INITIATIVES THAT SUPPORT CONSTRUCTION EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE, ACTING AS A CONNECTOR ACROSS CONSTRUCTION, SAFETY, HUMAN RESOURCES, OPERATIONS, IT, MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS.

PARTNERS WITH SAFETY AND CONSTRUCTION LEADERSHIP TO REINFORCE SAFETY STRATEGY AND CULTURE AND ADVOCATES FOR SAFE WORKING BEHAVIORS ACROSS JOB SITES.

SUPPORTS CHANGE MANAGEMENT EFFORTS RELATED TO CONSTRUCTION GROWTH, WORKFORCE EXPANSION, AND EVOLVING OPERATING MODELS.

ACTS AS A THOUGHT LEADER AND TRUSTED ADVISOR FOR CONSTRUCTION EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE, ENGAGEMENT, AND CULTURE INITIATIVES.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, construction management, human resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including demonstrated exposure to construction operations, field environments, or project-based organizations.
- Strong understanding of construction workforce dynamics, including craft professionals, project teams, and job-site operations.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving programs from concept through execution.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels, particularly field-based teams.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, build trust, and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong strategic thinking skills paired with practical execution and initiative ownership.
