Site Equipment Operator/ Pipelayer/ Laborer

Summary Of Position

We are seeking experienced Equipment Operators, Experienced Pipelayers, and Laborers to join our growing site and pipe crews based in York, PA.

EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

• Operates equipment in compliance with Kinsley’s safety policies and procedures.
• Ensures company equipment is maintained and in good running condition by greasing and checking fluids.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of all aspects of construction.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required.

EXPERIENCED PIPLAYER

• Install new pipes for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains in prepared trenches.
• Ensure pipes are aligned properly and positioned on grade and on line.
• Aid with backfilling and operate compaction equipment as needed.
• Recognize and mitigate job site hazards.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support the crew.

LABORER

• Assist in backfilling and running compaction equipment.
• Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards.
• Use various hand and power tools.
• Aid with removal of fine grade stones along curb lines and sidewalks.
• Take and understand instructions from crew leaders.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.

Requirements

• Knowledge of GPS systems is a plus but not required.
• Ability to follow and enforce all correct safety procedures.
• Preferred but not required: knowledge of underground utility installation, excavation regulations, and pipeline safety.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience is required for the equipment operator position.
• Ability to work in a crew-based and fast-paced environment.
• Punctuality and dependability are required.
• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods and sometimes in unfavorable weather conditions.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team player.
• Ability to work overtime.
• Ability to pass DOT pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
