Responsibilities
- Contribute to the daily site operation, including creation and modification of site operating procedures
- Create and modify change management tickets
- Create and report timely incident information
- Maintain and repair equipment to ensure high levels of data center operations availability
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of facility layout and MEP systems
- Understand equipment nomenclature and locations
- Understand facility drawings and equipment specifications
- Understand equipment sequence of operations (SOO’s), standard operating procedures (SOP’s), and emergency operating procedures (EOP’s)
- Understand customer Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and engineering-specific lease obligations
- Understand facility top 20 EOP’s
- Understand BMS alarm functionality, alarm escalation/acknowledgment, and ability to extract data and trends
- Understand DLR event management, event escalation, and incident reporting procedures
- Understand Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including the ability to create, edit, implement, and close change management work orders
- Create/edit/resolve/close incident reports following a site incident
- Support various accreditation initiatives, including, but not limited to, SSAE16, SOC2, ISO 27001, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably BEng or BSc Hons), ideally in electrical
- Recognized craft apprenticeship or training scheme in electrical engineering
- AE training course completed
- AP (Authorised Person) training attended, with experience as HV or LV AP
- 2-4 years of experience in building services, electrical, or data center industry
- Strong understanding of electrical safety and switching in critical environments
- Experience in oversight, assessment, and training, including audits and competence vetting of contractors
