Site Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the daily site operation, including creation and modification of site operating procedures
• Create and modify change management tickets
• Create and report timely incident information
• Maintain and repair equipment to ensure high levels of data center operations availability
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of facility layout and MEP systems
• Understand equipment nomenclature and locations
• Understand facility drawings and equipment specifications
• Understand equipment sequence of operations (SOO’s), standard operating procedures (SOP’s), and emergency operating procedures (EOP’s)
• Understand customer Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and engineering-specific lease obligations
• Understand facility top 20 EOP’s
• Understand BMS alarm functionality, alarm escalation/acknowledgment, and ability to extract data and trends
• Understand DLR event management, event escalation, and incident reporting procedures
• Understand Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including the ability to create, edit, implement, and close change management work orders
• Create/edit/resolve/close incident reports following a site incident
• Support various accreditation initiatives, including, but not limited to, SSAE16, SOC2, ISO 27001, etc.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably BEng or BSc Hons), ideally in electrical
• Recognized craft apprenticeship or training scheme in electrical engineering
• AE training course completed
• AP (Authorised Person) training attended, with experience as HV or LV AP
• 2-4 years of experience in building services, electrical, or data center industry
• Strong understanding of electrical safety and switching in critical environments
• Experience in oversight, assessment, and training, including audits and competence vetting of contractors
