Site Director- Before and After School

About the role

AlphaBEST believes in the power of wonder to connect students to a world of endless possibilities. As a Captain, you’ll lead a team of Guides who deliver engaging after-school adventures in fitness, the arts, technology, and more, fostering creativity and intellectual curiosity in a caring, family-oriented environment.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 9:00 am and 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm at Hildreth Elementary School.

Responsibilities

• Lead a fun and dedicated team of Guides that deliver excitement to student Explorers.
• Work collaboratively with peers and the Leadership Team to manage all aspects of the program site.
• Train AlphaBEST Guides on leading adventurous tasks that ignite children’s sense of wonder.
• Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by establishing clubs that build on students’ interests and talents.
• Provide a caring, family-oriented environment for positive staff, child, and parent interactions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 20 years old.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
• Must successfully complete a background check as required by state childcare licensing regulations.
• At least one year of supervised work experience with school-aged children, or one practicum (can be reduced to 9 months with a bachelor’s or associate degree in any field; to 6 months with a Bachelor’s in early education).
