AlphaBEST believes in the power of wonder to connect students to a world of endless possibilities. As an AlphaBEST Captain, you'll lead a fun and dedicated team of Guides that deliver excitement to student Explorers in fitness, the arts, technology, and more.

Schedule

Monday-Fridays, 6:30am-8:15am and 2:45-5:45pm

Pay & Benefits

• Starting at $24.00/hour
• Part-time benefits are available

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Guides to deliver engaging programs in fitness, the arts, technology, and more
• Work collaboratively with peers and the Leadership Team to manage all aspects of the program site
• Train AlphaBEST Guides on leading adventurous tasks that ignite children's sense of wonder
• Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by establishing clubs based on students' interests and talents
• Provide a caring, family-oriented environment for positive interactions among staff, children, and parents

Requirements

• 21+ years of age
• Bachelor's degree or associate's degree in a child-related field (e.g., elementary education, child psychology, recreation management) preferred
• Flexible and passionate about working with children in a learning environment
• Ability to communicate professionally with children, parents, staff, and management
• Must successfully pass and maintain criminal history background checks and Child Protective Services Registry
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Well-organized, thorough, and highly reliable/dependable
• Ability to remain calm and maintain professionalism and integrity at all times
• Basic Microsoft Office experience preferred
• Direct instructional experience in a licensed childcare program, elementary public or charter school, Department of Health licensed camp, or an approved private educational organization
