Site/Civil (Land Development Engineering) Project Manager

About the role

ATCS is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Site/Civil (Land Development Engineering) Project Manager to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. This role supports and plays a critical role in our Hampton Roads operations, requiring a flexible mindset and cooperative team-oriented attitude with progressively increasing management capabilities.

• Managing and facilitating the completion of diverse projects including mixed-use, residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial development
• Developing innovative technical land development design solutions
• Engaging in strong client relationships through frequent communications
• Providing mentorship, technical guidance, and career development opportunities to the project team
• Driving quality deliverables on-time and on-budget
• Negotiating scopes and fees, billing and collections

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering
• Professional registration (P.E.) in Virginia
• 7–15 years of land development design experience
• 2+ years of hands-on Project Management experience (a plus)
• Self-starter eager to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Strong working relationships with developers, contractors, attorneys, land planners, and architects
• Well-versed in state and local municipal design and development processes
• Effective interaction with local municipal approval authorities
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D; strong technical knowledge in SWM design and requirements preferred
• Experience in Virginia (preferably the Hampton Roads Region) delivering land development projects

Pay

Competitive salary range of $99,000 to $145,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The role is also eligible for an annual bonus, with a target of 2% of the employee’s annualized salary.
