Site Civil Digital Design Specialist

About the role

HDR is seeking a Digital Design Specialist for our Building Engineering Services Business Group in Chicago, Illinois. The team consists of core services including Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, and Site Civil Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design of facility-related sites in support of the Data Center market, with potential to expand to other markets.
• Coordinate and work closely with the civil design team, providing BIM and AutoCAD/Civil 3D support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop the CAD bench by coaching, mentoring, and growing the drafting/design capabilities of junior staff.
• Assist with additional Digital Delivery requirements as needed.

Requirements

• Technical degree or at least 3 years of related industry experience.
• Proficiency in 3D design software and document management systems.
• Competence in Microsoft Office products and communication tools.
• Experience with 3D coordination tools.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Intermediate understanding of engineering or architectural concepts.

Qualifications

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position depends on skills, experience, education, and geographical location. The base salary range is $51,128.00 - $73,040.00 per year.
