Site Civil Coordinator/EIT
About the role
This position supports the nationally recognized Building Engineering Services Group at HDR, focusing on mechanical, electrical, structural, and site civil engineering for various market sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, municipal, civic, industrial, and mission critical buildings and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Assist on tasks associated with design and plan production for site development projects (layouts, grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion & sediment control, site utilities, etc.).
- Develop concept site layouts that are compliant with all jurisdictional requirements.
- Prepare site civil engineering calculations in support of the site development (stormwater pond sizing, culvert and pipe capacity analysis, hydrology calcs, etc.).
- Coverage with jurisdictional authorities to determine design and submittal requirements and determine design solutions.
- Coordinate with subconsultants for support and design services.
- Attend and contribute to client meetings.
- Perform administrative tasks associated with preparation of specifications, contracts documents, and permit submittals.

Requirements
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as Autodesk Civil 3D and specialty site civil engineering software (e.g., HydroCAD, Autodesk Hydraflow Extensions, etc.).
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications and Bluebeam Revu.
