Site Based District Special Education Teacher
Eagle Point School District 9 (EPSD9) is seeking a passionate and skilled Site Based District Special Education Teacher to lead instruction. This role supports the diverse learning needs of all students through innovation and care in the scenic Rogue Valley of southern Oregon, serving approximately 3,650 students across Eagle Point, White City, and nearby areas. About The Role
The Site Based District Special Education Teacher will design and deliver specially tailored instruction for students with diverse needs, ensuring access to rigorous, supportive, and meaningful learning experiences. This role includes:
- Planning and delivering individualized instruction
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining compliance records
- Managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Participating in multidisciplinary teams and leading IEP meetings
- Consulting with general education staff and supporting educational assistants
- Providing family outreach and implementing best practices in special education
- Promoting student engagement, safety, and academic growth
The position requires familiarity with state and federal laws regarding special education, appropriate methodologies, and technology to support student learning.
Requirements
- Current Oregon Teaching License with a Special Education endorsement
- Strong knowledge of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and related laws
- Experience leading student-centered planning and progress monitoring
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues, consult with families, and support staff
- Skills in designing accessible curriculum and behavior supports
- Proficiency in maintaining required documentation
- Commitment to cultivating a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment

Pay
Salary range: $46,548 - $90,846 plus a master's stipend of $2,327 (based on approved previous experience and graduate-level credits). Special Education Teachers receive an annual Federal Compliance Stipend of $3,000. Salary reflects the current 2023-2026 Collective Bargaining Agreement and is subject to change.
Schedule
