Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee site access personnel and gate operations.
- Enforce project policies related to access control, badging, and visitor procedures.
- Monitor entry/exit points, badge verification, and vehicle screening.
- Cookordinate with the Site Access Coordinator to ensure badging procedures are consistently applied.
- Maintain accurate daily access logs, incident reports, and site headcount records.
- Utilize and oversee access control systems, badging software, and surveillance tools (if applicable).
- Conduct routine audits of badging compliance and access procedures.
- Investigate and report access incidents, unauthorized access, or badge misuse.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for site access matters with the project team and client.
- Support emergency response procedures and coordinate with local authorities when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with client security requirements.
Essential Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- At least 18 years old.
- One year of commercial/construction experience.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English sufficient to perform job functions (other preferences will be given for special language skills where there is a business need).
Physical Requirements
- Stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects.
- Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance.
- Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
- See well (naturally or with correction).
- Eye-hand coordination.
- Good physical fitness.
- Good sense of balance.
- Work at great heights.
- Environment:
- Perform physically demanding work including lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in tight or elevated spaces.
- Work in both indoor and outdoor conditions, including exposure to extreme weather such as heat, cold, wind, or rain, depending on project phase.
- Operate in a secure, access-controlled environment with strict badging and entry requirements.
- Exposure to active construction areas, noise, and energized systems, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols (including LOTO).
- Work around sensitive equipment requiring attention to cleanliness and site protocols.
- Use required PPE at all times, including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, high-visibility vest, and hearing protection.
- Must remain alert to safety and security risks and follow all site-specific and client requirements.
