Sioux Falls SBDC Business Consultant position located in the USD Discovery District building in Sioux Falls.
About the role
The South Dakota Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is hiring a Business Analyst to work with entrepreneurs on business plans, financial analysis, and other aspects of business ownership or startup. The role involves networking with the business community, including lenders, economic development officials, and ecosystem partners such as SBA and GOED.
Responsibilities
- Develop business plans with entrepreneurs
- Perform financial analysis
- Assist with business ownership and startup processes
- Network with lenders, economic development officials, and other stakeholders
Requirements
- Four-year degree in Business or a related field (MBA or similar advanced business degree preferred)
- Past business management, ownership, or consulting experience may substitute for educational requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Travel and occasional overnight stays required
- Occasional evening meetings or events
Schedule
- Full-time, 12-month position
- Typical office hours: 8 AM to 5 PM, weekdays
