About the role

Prepare the Simulation Training Equipment for daily operation, perform visual alignments, pre/post flight tasks, and Simulation Qualification testing (QTGs).

Responsibilities

  • Carry out and evaluate Simulation Qualification testing (QTGs)
  • Perform preventative maintenance for each training device based on published schedules
  • Load appropriate exercise scenarios and complete Journey Logs
  • Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated systems
  • Aid in diagnosing and correcting issues on simulators and associated systems
  • Utilize the maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities
  • Complete designated training activities
  • Perform pre-flight and post-flight tasks on designated simulators
  • Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG)
  • Afford refurbishment and hardware modifications
  • Comply with the CAE quality management system
  • Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner
  • Perform housekeeping functions to maintain simulators as required
  • Perform logistics duties, including parts receiving, repair, testing, and validation
  • Perform administrative tasks as required
  • Support the technical services group as needed

Requirements

  • 2-year technical degree OR 4 years of experience in an electronic, avionic, or other technical field
  • Minimum of 0–2 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing schedules
  • Ability to interpret system prints and schematics
  • Proficiency operating test equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, multimeter, signal generator, logic analyzer)
  • Knowledge of analog and digital theory
  • Computer literacy (PC and/or computer mainframe/architecture)
  • Proficiency in soldering and circuit board repairs
  • Some knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite
