Simulator Technician I & II-EN
About the role
CAE, one of the largest business aviation training facilities, is looking for a Simulator Technician in their newest training center in Minneapolis, MN.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on the simulators and associated simulator systems.
- Aid in diagnosing and correcting routine problems on simulators and associated systems.
- Execute pre-flight and post-flight tasks on designated simulators.
- Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG).
- Utilize the maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.
- Complete all designated training activities.
- Afford assistance with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
- Learn and comply with CAE’s quality management system.
- Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner.
- Perform logistics duties, including parts receipt, repair, and testing/validation.
- Carry out housekeeping functions to maintain simulators as required.
- Perform required administrative tasks.
Requirements
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent related training.
- 1 year of simulator-related experience in electronics/avionics, automated systems, computer networking repair and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting prints and schematics.
- Knowledge of analog and digital theory.
- Basic skills in operating test equipment.
- Basic skills in soldering and circuit board repair.
- Some knowledge of PCs and MS Office tools and suite.
- Able to travel (less than 10%).
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a 2-year technical degree or equivalent related training, 1 year of simulator-related experience, proficiency in reading and interpreting prints and schematics, knowledge of analog and digital theory, basic skills in operating test equipment, basic skills in soldering and circuit board repair, some knowledge of PCs and MS Office tools and suite, and ability to travel (less than 10%).
