About the role
The Simulation Training Instructor (STI) plays a crucial role in providing high-quality simulation training to healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in medical education and a passion for improving patient care through simulation-based learning.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement simulation scenarios that meet educational objectives and enhance clinical skills.
- Facilitate debriefing sessions to promote critical thinking and reflection among participants.
- Evaluate participant performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with other educators and administrators to develop and maintain simulation programs.
- Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in medical education.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Education, Medical Education, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in medical education or simulation-based training.
- Knowledge of adult learning theories and effective teaching strategies.
- Experience with simulation technology and software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Current certification in CPR and ACLS.
- Experience with medical terminology and anatomy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with simulation software such as SimMan, Manikin, or similar systems.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
