Simulation Technician Specialist - Full Time - 8 Hour - Days

About the role

The Certified Simulation Operations Specialist (CSOS) will support the growing use of simulation methodologies for education and professional practice. The CSOS provides consultative and supportive services for curriculum development, innovative instructional strategies, assessment methods, and physician and nursing training and development. With a focus on neonatal and pediatric resuscitation and crisis resource management, the CSOS will improve patient care and safety through simulation-based research.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
• Master’s Degree (Preferred)
• 2 years of progressive healthcare simulation experience (Required)
• CHSOS (Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist) certification from SSH (Society for Simulation in Healthcare) (Required; 2 years of simulation experience may be considered in lieu of certification)
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Strong technical and computer skills
• Operational knowledge of simulation technologies and applications
• On-site and in-person work, 5 days a week
• Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends
• Ability to travel between Concord and Walnut Creek Medical Centers as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Background or experience in maternal health simulation

Pay

Hourly pay range: $41.97 – $56.64. Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.

• Scheduled weekly hours: 40
• Work shift: 08:00 – 17:00 (exempt position)
