Simulation Operations Specialist

Academic Partner: University of St. Thomas – Sugar Land

Location: 14090 Southwest Fwy, Sugar Land

Schedule: Onsite position, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm

This position reports to the Director, Nursing Services.

What You Will Do

• Provide support in the use of simulation in healthcare settings.
• Prepare and maintain lab equipment and materials related to simulation.
• Operate patient simulators for the duration of simulations.
• Assist in training faculty in the use of simulation equipment and collaborate in maintenance and repair by troubleshooting immediate issues with simulation equipment and all other equipment used in relation to the simulations.
• Set up and tear down rooms in preparation for various simulations.
• Provide recommendations on equipment, supplies, and materials.
• Maintain current knowledge of simulation equipment catalogs and operation manuals.
• May operate and maintain audio/visual equipment.

What You Will Have

• Interest in healthcare simulation and customer service experience.
• Knowledge of databases, Internet, spreadsheet, and word‑processing software.
• Proficiency with PC, Internet, simulation equipment, and basic nursing equipment.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Two or more years of experience working in simulation in an education institution or equivalent setting (preferred).
