Position Summary

The School of Nursing and Health Sciences Department of Nursing at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) invites applications for a 12-month, full time Simulation Facilitator position, to join our community starting in July 2025. This is a 12 month, in-person position with occasional evening and weekend commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Mentoring faculty in simulation design and implementation
  • Providing hands-on instruction, facilitating simulations
  • Fostering a culture of excellence in simulation-based education
  • Collaborating with faculty to develop and implement simulations
  • Leading summer simulation sessions for the ABSN program
  • Contributing to departmental initiatives such as committees, grants, and events
  • Supporting student learning through classroom and clinical lab instruction, evaluation, and remediation
  • Managing clinical makeup and remediation guidelines
  • Assisting with student performance evaluations
  • Participating in recruitment activities such as facility tours, open houses, and accepted student events

Qualifications

  • Clinical and classroom teaching experience in Nursing
  • Working knowledge of curriculum development and assessment
  • Experience with or willingness to develop expertise with clinical simulation
  • Experience in healthcare
  • Requires an MSN in Nursing
  • CHSE or CHSOS preferred but willing to consider person who has desire to achieve this certification
  • At least 3 years of simulation experience including competency in simulation-based education
  • Experience in clinical and classroom nursing education with working knowledge of curriculum development and assessment
  • Knowledge of MicrosoftTM Office and G Suite
  • Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS’s)
