Simulation Analysis Engineer II (Onsite)

About the role

The role is an Entry Level position located in Tucson, AZ at RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, and/or utilization of high-fidelity digital simulation software in advanced technical computing environments.
• Contribute to trade studies to assess system performance of weapons against a variety of threats in a variety of kill chain scenarios.
• Contribute knowledge of performance engineering practices and procedures to evaluate work across a wide range of intriguing computational problems.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to develop and implement analytic approaches that produce data to guide program decisions.
• Participate in the development, implementation, validation and testing of model-based solutions to power real-time combat decision aids and associated software.

Qualifications

• 0+ years of experience with a Masters degree in Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
• Scripting (MATLAB, Python, etc.) and/or programming (C, C++, etc.) experience.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
• Qualifications We Prefer:
• Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.
• Specific majors: Physics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Computer/Electrical Engineering.
• Coursework, internship, projects or work experience in the following areas: Simulation modeling, development, and/or analysis of physical systems, Knowledge of the systems engineering life-cycle model, Software development processes and object-oriented design using C/C++ and/or Java in either Unix or Linux computing environments, Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML) or Surrogate Modeling, Computation on high-performance computing (HPC) grids/clusters, SLURM, Prior experience in or with military, or substantive domain knowledge of tools and tactics of warfare, Prior experience with classified material.

Pay Range

$68,900 - $131,100 USD
