Simulated/ Standardized Patient

About the role

This is a contract, on-site Simulated/Standardized Patient (SP) role located in Parker, CO.

Responsibilities

• Portray patient cases and clinical scenarios consistently and accurately for medical learners, following detailed case scripts and training guidelines.
• Act out physical symptoms and emotional states.
• Absess learner's abilities in clinical skills and interpersonal communication.
• Provide structured feedback on that communication and professionalism.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support realistic clinical skills examinations and teaching sessions in a professional, confidential manner.

Qualifications

• Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with learners, faculty, and staff.
• Acting experience and comfort with role-playing to portray patient cases accurately and repeatedly.
• Ability to learn case materials, follow protocols, and complete clear evaluation forms.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, maintain case consistency, and provide objective, constructive feedback.
• Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work variable schedules based on academic needs.
• Comfort with being examined by learners in a clinical education setting, while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Experience in education, theater, customer service, or healthcare settings is beneficial.
• Commitment to confidentiality, cultural sensitivity, and a supportive learning environment.
