SIGN ON BONUS- Experienced SGRE Certified MCE Wind Technician
The Experienced MCE Wind Technician in the Main Component Exchange (MCE) division at Pearce will play a crucial role in supporting and supervising field work on-site. This position requires deep platform expertise on Siemens Gamesa systems, including advanced diagnostics and major component exchange experience. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading team members in lifting operations of equipment at heights over 250’.
- Overseeing lifting operations and creating, reviewing, correcting, and amending lifting plans.
- Performing safe and efficient repairs to all Wind Turbine electrical systems.
- Conducting Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) of equipment as an Authorized Person.
- Conducting pre-task planning, Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs), and daily safety discussions.
- Interacting with vendors and customers professionally.
- Properly documenting all work in a variety of electronic formats and providing feedback to the Safety and Quality department for business improvements.
Core Experience
- Minimum of 1.5 years of direct product experience on Siemens Gamesa Platforms.
- Direct turbine specific experience is required.
- Main Component Exchange (MCE) experience required with additional knowledge in lifting operations.
- SGRE Green Profile preferred.
- Detailed knowledge and skill in generators, converters, controllers, and electrical equipment.
- Ability to recognize potential issues and major faults.
Physical/Work Environment
- Ability and willingness to climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet.
- Maintain a weight between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing and boots, for OSHA safety compliance.
- Lift and move equipment as needed (more than 50 pounds).
- Work in an indoor or outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions with blowing pollen, dust, and grasses.
