About the role

Supplemental Health Care is a national hiring partner for schools across the United States. We work with districts nationwide to hire thousands of school professionals every year. Currently, we’re hiring a Sign Language Interpreter to work at a school located in Tacoma, Washington.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret American Sign Language in a school setting
  • Work closely with students, teachers, and staff
  • Ensure effective communication between deaf and hearing individuals
  • Adhere to the school district’s calendar and schedule

Requirements

  • Washington license/certification for Sign Language Interpreter
  • Previous experience working in a school setting or pediatric experience preferred
  • American Heart Association BLS certification

Qualifications

  • Sign Language Interpreter license/certification from Washington
  • Experience working in a school setting or pediatric experience
  • American Heart Association BLS certification

Skills

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of sign language and deaf culture
